Greed and patriotism
Iran, one of the elite basketball teams in Asia, is already starting to practice for FIBA ASIA 2013. Meanwhile, we are yet to form a team because we need to wait for PBA’s decision on the 3rd conference.
We are the host of FIBA ASIA 2013. I will probably be long dead before we can host the event again. Are we basketball elites that we only need 6 months to prepare in order to be competitive? We are hosting, we need to be contenders not just competitive. Can we pull this off with 3 to 6 months of practice?
